u4gm PoE1 Trade Guide for Aldur Economy

In Path of Exile 2, trade feels a lot easier once you stop thinking in raw item prices and start reading the market through POE currency. Most players do not price everything the same way. They lean on Divine Orb, Chaos Orb, and the really high-end stuff when they need a reference point. That matters even more in Runes of Aldur, where a small shift in value can change whether you buy an upgrade, craft it yourself, or just hold your currency for later.

The current Runes of Aldur exchange scene shows how busy the economy is. The market cap sits at 4,468,359,380 Exalted Orb, with hourly volume at 1,109,683,940 Exalted Orb, and there are 2,017 active trading pairs. The biggest rates are easy to spot. One Mirror of Kalandra was going for 6,646 Divine Orb, Divine Orb sat at 8.26 Chaos Orb, and Hinekora's Lock reached 1,468.37 Divine Orb. If you play the market at all, those numbers tell you where value is piling up.

How to Read the Market Without Overthinking It

You do not need to chase every listing. What helps more is building a simple habit: check the main currency anchors, then compare the item you want against them. A few trades stood out for good reason. Omen of Whittling was 9.59 Divine Orb, Omen of Light was 8.62, Fracturing Orb was 15.36, Orb of Annulment was 0.85, Perfect Chaos Orb was 7.32, and Perfect Exalted Orb was 3.23. Once you know these reference points, it gets much easier to judge whether a drop is worth selling or turning into gear.

There is also a practical order to how people protect value. Many players start with Omen of Abyssal Echo, then move into Omen of Whittling or Omen of Light, then Hinekora's Lock, and finally Mirror of Kalandra. It is basically a ladder. You step up when your stash grows, instead of leaving everything in lower-value items that can swing too hard.

Farming Breakpoints That Actually Matter

League start farming goes smoother when you know what each tier unlocks. At Tier 1, level 65, Ancient Waystone 1 opens up useful early rolls like 30% movement speed on boots, plus strong helmet and glove modifiers. At Tier 7, level 71, Refined Waystone 2 starts letting gear hit 40% resistances. At Tier 11, level 75, Pristine Waystone 1 brings in many top-end flat damage rolls and +3 modifiers. That is where weapons and rings start to feel noticeably better.

  1. Stay in Tier 1 until your basic gear is stable and the key early modifiers are showing up.
  2. Move to Tier 7 when you need better resistance rolls and sturdier armour pieces.
  3. Push into Tier 11 once your build can use stronger flat damage and weapon upgrades.

This approach saves time. You are not just clearing maps for the sake of it. You are farming where the loot table still gives you something your build can use.

Crafting also keeps you from spending too much too early. Transmutation, Augmentation, and Regal Orb can turn a decent base into a real upgrade. Essences do a similar job when you want a weapon or resistance piece with one guaranteed direction. Putrefactions are a different story, but they can still be worth using if you have the right base and do not mind the item being corrupted. People often forget that a smart craft can replace a trade search completely. That is why cheap Path of exile currency is not always the first answer. Sometimes the better play is just finishing the item yourself and saving the rest for a bigger buy.
