I’m sure we have all encountered similar situations to this in the past. And it's great to see plenty of great advice coming through.

Here of some solution examples I have seen applied:

Bespoke (tailor made) mobile working at height platforms purchased though supplier like ullrich (low cost)
Heavy mobile equipment docking bays which allow platforms to extend out to your gear (high cost)
Overhead anchor rail with auto-belay device attached. This is the same sort of set-up you would see in a fun climbing center. No need for rescuer, as the device prevents slack and automatically allows the worker to descend at a slow rate. Also allows worker to access any part of equipment without having to work off platforms and/or reposition stands/platforms. (low cost).

Sign-in/out - daily
SOP - signed and dated - annually
Working at Heights training (recorded and up to date)
Ladder for access - designed, built and certified (recorded and checked every three months)
